The foundation seeks to change the attitude of society towards charity issues, bring new players to this area and assist them in managing their programmes.

The Foundation is actively involved in legislative activity in the field of social issues. We are the members of the RF Government Council on guardianship in the social sphere, the board of trustees at the Morozov Children's City Clinical Hospital and, also, of the board of trustees of the State Institution of Boarding School for Mentally Retarded№21.

Vladimir Smirnov, the foundation founder, patron of arts, was born in Uzbekistan in 1967. He graduated from the Moscow Petrochemical and Gas Industry Institute in 1991. Vladimir's entire professional career has been associated with NOVATEK Group, where he worked for 23 years.

In recent years, public and charitable activities have become paramount in Vladimir Smirnov's life. He has used his own funds to establish his foundation and its administration is not his only concern. Vladimir is an active participant in all routine processes like supervising the programmes, visiting elderly care homes, meeting children at children's homes. Besides, he is a regular blood donor. "We want to show that charity is hard and serious work and no less difficult than that at a bank or factory," he says. "At the same time, it brings pure joy and creates warmth, comfort and beauty all around us. Helping others is as natural as eating and sleeping."
