JULY 31: GOOD NEWS ABOUT REAL HELP!
The week has started with good news from the Kostroma region. A few months ago Stopalovs family from the Halbuzh village asked us for help. They needed a porch with a ramp for the younger daughter who is disabled. We responded to the request, and today the construction has been safely completed.
Every day 10-year-old Natasha and 8-year-old Grisha start with carrying a heavy stroller with their 6-year-old sister Sasha down the steps of the village house. It is necessary to do it very carefully, because Sasha has cerebral palsy, epilepsy and other serious concomitant diseases. The girl is growing, her strollers are getting bigger, it is getting harder for the guys to take her out for a walk. The family dreamed of a convenient porch with a ramp so that Sasha could freely get out. Now this dream has come true!
Despite the "bouquet of diseases" Sasha is a very cheerful girl with a radiant personality and the whole family, she has 7 brothers and sisters, adores her. Elder children take care of the youngest sister helping their mother to feed her, play, go for a walk with her, put her to bed.
The reliable “basis” of the family is mother - Evgenia Stopalova. Together with her husband she left Moscow in the end of 90th to the Khalbuzh village in the Kostroma region. By that time she had already had three children. Every year it was getting more and more difficult to live in the capital. The family could hardly survive. In the village they planted a garden and started to raise goats. It was such a relief after city life. The family was growing. When Sasha was born, life radically changed ...
Now the elder children of Eugeniya - Daria and Olga - work, Viktor serves in the army, Oksana is a student. Nadia, Natasha and Grisha are going to school. Together with all their might they try to treat and rehabilitate Sasha.
In recent years Evgenia Stopalova has keyed into the problems of disabled children so much, that the main thing she sees for herself now is helping them. The house became more suitable for wheelchairs, and it can become a home for several more special children . Zhenya is seriously thinking about this, because they have many important conditions for helping such children: a big friendly family, fresh air and bio products.
We managed to raise 90 000 rubles for building a porch with a ramp.
JULY 27: «THE CHILDHOOD DECADE». THE OP RF HEARINGS
The draft plan of the main events of the "Childhood Decade" contained more than 200 items. The participants in public hearings at the OP RF, including the representatives of the Lifestyle Foundation, on July 26 were deciding which initiatives will be included in the main program and what will be the future of Russian children.
"The Childhood Decade " will start in 2018 and will last until 2027, it will continue the implementation of the National Strategy for Children. Public officials and government officials are preparing an action plan for the program. The participants of the round table presented their proposals on helping children with complex genetic diseases, the introduction of chess lessons and swimming in the school, called for addressing the best regional practices.
The chairman of the Commission of the Russian Federation for Family, Motherhood and Childhood Support Julia Zimova noted that it is necessary to add public monitoring of the health of orphans living in orphanages to the plan. This work has been carrying out by the "Lifestyle" fund the last two years. During the monitoring, we are able to identify the problems faced by children and find specific ways to resolve them, develop proposals for reforming orphanages. Our task is to achieve the inclusion of a monitoring item in the plan at the legislative level.
The government representatives, the public and NKOs initiatives should be coordinated until September 2017. The final plan will be forwarded to the Government of the Russian Federation.
JULY 24: THE «SCHOOL OF CHARITY». CHILDREN SECTION NEVER RESTS
Yesterday we had a great warm day at the "Family pets" festival at the "Kuzminki" park. It was the first personal exhibition of pets «The shelter for homeless animals in Pechatniki».
At the "School of Charity. Lifestyle "children section the lessons for the youngest participants were given .The teachers presented a new fairy tale "A Gift to the Wolf". After the performance, the children came up with the idea of how to become a good wolf, find friends, with whom he could spend his birthday. Each child wanted to personally congratulate the birthday boy and show him how to treat the small, weak and defenseless, how to take care of them.
Props of our puppet theater are ordinary toys, familiar to children, they are used to "communicate" with such characters at home too. Therefore, during each speech, children easily approach the characters, express their opinion, attitude, and comunicate with the teachers.

The answers to these and many other questions, that are not told at school, high school students can find in the "Instructions for independent life". The book, that was written by the participants of our "The School of Charity. Lifestyle" program has recently come out. The edition has already appeared in 17 libraries of Russia and Belarus.

The project was coordinated by the eployees of the «Lifestyle» Foundation. The lawyers, psychologists, economists, teachers, designers, doctors and others were сonsultants when writing the instruction.
Co-author of the book, participant of the program "The School of Charity. Lifestyle "Polina Vasilkova noted that work on the project made her more independent and more experienced:" By compiling the information for our book, we became wiser, more oriented in life. Communication with the curators was extremely useful and informative. In addition to guidance and advice on creating a manual, we got knowledge that is practically applicable in life. Of course, each of us got something of its own: I, for example, became more confident in choosing a future profession, and thanks to the advice of a psychologist I managed to successfully pass exams and avoid stressful situations. Anastasia got self-confidence, and Ulyana and Anya are grateful to the project For useful legal information. "

JUNE 21: STEAMPUNK, FANTASY, MILITARY DRAMA ...
In the near future we will be able to see musicals, stories about charity - movies for children. They will be filmed by Russian directors.
On June 21, the Ministry of Culture hosted the pitching of films that need a support from the Department of Cinematography. Directors, producers, screenwriters presented their projects to the Expert Council for the feature film for children. Press attaché of the "Lifestyle" charity fund, Doctor of Education, Olga Stukalova, is a member of this council.
Of the 27 applications submitted this year, 18 were admitted to the submission. The Ministry of Culture selects projects from experienced directors: it's too difficult and responsible to film children's movie. At the same time there is a separate competition of debut projects for beginner filmmakers. The number of children's and family films in Russia is growing. The specialists noticed a positive dynamics in quality as well. The genre diversity is also expanding: the fairy tales, adventures, stories of friendship, melodramas, comedies, music and war films were presented at the pitching. Two projects are devoted to the theme of charity.
Olga Stukalova noted that the filmmakers mostly appeal to family values: "One of the movies that I singled out with a plus sign is filmed by Alexander Galibin. It's called "Sister". The script is excellent. The point is that the Russian girl in the Great Patriotic War gets into a remote Kirghiz aul. There she finds herself in a large family and tries to adapt, she is 8 years old. At the presentation we saw an episode called "Prayer." In my opinion, a young actress is a genius. The girl prays for father to return from the war, even blind or legless- if only he would return. When the episode ended, the hall was numb, the silence was ringing. It was something fantastic. "
Each expert could select no more than 8 films. Results of consideration of the submitted projects of the Ministry of Culture of Russia will be announced in early July.
