Thanks to the lectures of the Charitable University in Moscow project, we managed to help the back worker, a resident of Pskov, Evgenia Petrovna Stepanova. She did not have a refrigerator, and the summer was approaching, and the food was becoming harder to store. 17000 rubles were aimed at buying a new refrigerator, which was delivered on the Victory Day.
Eugenia Petrovna is 86 years old. She spent her childhood in difficult military years, she worked equally with adults, helped her parents and raised two younger sisters. In her youth she moved to Pskov. She worked as a gardener in the City Summer Garden named after A.S. Pushkin, and then she found a job as a shipping agent, in this position she worked until retirement.
Recall that the funds collected at the lectures of the "Charitable University in Moscow" are divided equally between the «Lifestyle» and «AdVita» funds and are spent on programs to help the elderly people.

MAY 10: YOUNG VOLUNTEER FROM THE «DOM ROSTA”

Every morning from the window of his house Seryozha Sokolov sees 5 birches planted by him in memory of the soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War. Serezha is a pupil of the family center for orphans "Dom ROSTa". Together with other children, he lives in a professional family in the village of Petrovsky in the Ivanovo region. In honor of the Victory Day this year, 12-year-old Serezha took part in planting trees in the Birch Grove public garden. He took care of the trees, watered, cleaned up old branches and garbage. Tatyana Mikhailovna Prokhorova the inhabitant of the village came up with the idea to organize such an event. It is by her efforts that the garden is transformed: she beautifies the flower beds, grows flowers. I collected the lists of all fellow villagers, participants of the Second World War: those who died, went missing, those who returned and who are no longer alive. There are tags on each tree that distinguish it from ordinary birches in the park: a red bandage and a tag with the name and title of the defender of the Motherland.
On May 9, Sergei together with his sister Christina and Vika Ilyina, his sworn sister, took part in a festive meeting. The guys read poems dedicated to the Great Patriotic War.

APRIL 30: OUR LITTLE RESCUED ONE

Targeted assistance is quite new movement in our fund. Recently we have been told that 4-year-old Vika Tarabukina needed an operation. Today we would like to share a happy story of recovery.
Vika Tarabukina was born a premature seven-month-old baby, weighed only 1 kg and 400 grams. Her mother had difficult pregnancy and delivery, it’s all fault of hard working conditions: Svetlana has been working as a nurse in the hospital. The baby was diagnosed with: congenital heart disease, defect of the interatrial septum, stenosis of the pulmonary artery. In this case, the patient has a hole in the septum separating the right and left atrium into two separate chambers. Fetus needs this opening for normal blood circulation, but immediately after the birth, it must be closed. Having stenosis of the pulmonary artery lengthens the time of discharge of the blood into the pulmonary artery, which breaks the whole cycle of the heart’s work.
During the first year Vika was followed up by a cardiologist, parents were giving her necessary medicamental treatment hoping, that all will grow by itself. But when the girl was 3 years old, the ultrasonography of the heart showed that the surgery was extremely necessary. The correction of pathology by the endovascular closure of DMPP method costs 273 644 rubles. There are two more children in the family. The father works as a cattle farmer in the state farm, and the mother is a nurse in the hospital, and the family does not have any money for the treatment of the daughter.
Svetlana reached out to our fund. And on April 6, 2017 in Syktyvkar the surgery was held and it went very well. The girl is already at home. We would like to thank dear donors! This smiling little girl's life was saved.
We wish Vika to grow healthy, strong and happy!
