Strategic Session of Good Deeds

On 19 May 2014, a strategic session of the Good Deeds project was held. The project is a single space embracing charitable institutions, donors, volunteers and others who are interested in charity work. Participants dwelled on the project's pros and cons and identified the first steps towards its implementation.

Trip to Tula Region with Joyful Old Age Charity Foundation

On 16 May 2014, Vladimir Smirnov, our Foundation's founder, and Elena Beregovaya, our director, paid a visit to three elderly care homes in the Tula region, sponsored by our partner Joyful Old Age Foundation: the Begichevsky nursing home, the Tovarkovsky municipal hospital, the Epifanievsky municipal hospital. Lonely elderly people were entertained by songs, dances, games, blowing soap bubbles, the Giant Turnip's performance -- a few things still enjoyed by them. And, of course, nobody was left without a gift.

Opening of World Press Photo 2014 Exhibition

Fotodoc, being one of the projects sponsored by our Foundation, is an exhibiting, debating and educating ground for all who are keen on contemporary documentary photography. The Itar-Tass news agency has teamed up with the Fotodoc non-profit partnership to mount a World Press Photo 2014 exhibition to be held from 14 May 2014 till 12 June 2014 at the Moscow Artplay Design Centre. This unique travelling exhibition contains almost 200 winning images from World Press Photo, the world's most prestigious contest in photojournalism, whose 57th awards

Meeting of Coordination Board on Handicapped Children

On 14 May 2014, our Foundation director Elena Beregovaya took part at a round-table session of the Coordination Board on Handicapped Children and Other Disabled People under the RF Social Chamber Committee on Social Policy, Employment Relations and Quality of Life.

Robert Tuikin at PROFLAB

On 12 May 2014, Robert Tuikin, director general of Vershitel, a training company, ran a workshop on safety organization, within the framework of the PROFLAB educational course. It is one of the most crucial challenges faced by future coaches of children's programmes. Robert dwelled on the personal and functional responsibility of organizers, coaches and programme participants.

Blood Drive at the Skolkovo Innovation Centre

On 12 May 2014, the Blood Service together with the Gift of Life Charitable Foundation ran a blood drive at the Skolkovo Innovation Centre. In total, 28 persons, both rank and file workers and management staff, have joined the donor movement. All participants in the event received a meal and souvenirs from the Blood Service.

Trip to Ryazan Region with Joyful Old Age Charity Foundation

2014, Victoria Vinetskaya from our Foundation and employees of the Joyful Old Age Charity Foundation visited the Shilovsky care home of general type for elderly and disabled people located in the Ryazan region. The colleagues congratulated 200 elderly people and 25 veterans living in this institution in the village of Avdotyinka on the Victory Day. Grannies and grandpas sincerely enjoyed sweets, flowers and beloved wartime songs accompanied by button accordion and guitar music

May Holidays Celebrated at Home of ROST

During May Holidays we had the opportunity to visit the inhabitants of the Home of ROST located in the settlement of Petrovsky. The boys and girls enjoyed kebabs within the family circle, an exciting game of Activity, and lovely sunny weather! Children are growing up too fast!

Meeting with Kostroma Region Administration

The construction of a family-type home for children in the Kostroma region was discussed at a meeting held on April 29. The project is financed through funds raised at the 'LonDom' charity photo show. It was tentatively agreed with the Kostroma Region Administration to establish partnership relations.
