Lyudmila Petranovskaya at PROFLAB

On 6, 9 and 13 February, within the framework of the PROFLAB educational course, Lyudmila Petranovskaya, family psychologist and specialist in placing orphaned children in families, is lecturing on attachment in a child's life, attachment traumas and their manifestation. She will focus on a strategy for helping children with attachment disorders, typical errors in communicating with children suffering from attachment traumas and many other things.

'LonDom' Charity Photo Exhibition. Moscow. 9-20 April

From 9 to 20 April, three charities, namely the Vladimir Smirnov Foundation, Sozidanie, and The Formula of Good are holding a 'LonDom' photo show.

'LonDom' brings together fifty Russian photographers of several generations spanning patriarchs and very young authors residing in Moscow, London, Paris, Kiev, Vienna, New York, and St Petersburg.

'LonDom' displays fifty photographs portraying London and Britain. You will see the country and its capital -- prudish and funny, vanguard and traditional, colour and monochrome, sunny and foggy -- through the eyes of the best Russian photographers highlighting the amazing diversity of British life.

'LonDom' is a photo show dedicated to the UK-Russia Year of Culture.

'LonDom' is an opportunity to acquire photographs during the exhibition and at a special auction and to know that your money will be used for a good cause.

'LonDom' is a future family-style home for boys from the Ostrovsky orphanage in the Kostroma region and their guardian. There they will learn how to live in privacy and find stability necessary for their future life in the adult world.

All funds raised from the auction of 'LonDom' photographs will go to the construction of this family-style home.

Thus, the 'LonDom' photo show combines photographic art, which is dynamically advancing, changing and becoming an art component of the modern world, with a specific goal to help children obtain their private dwelling and private life.

The charitable photo show exemplifies a new and important interplay between high art professionals and charity that is becoming increasingly popular in our country.

We anticipate support and help in arranging and covering the 'LonDom' photo show and attracting the attention of the public at large, newsmakers, social and public institutions to the event and orphanage related problems in the country.

Social Project of KPMG: Phoenix Resource Group of Psychological and Professional Support

On 4 February, a member of our foundation staff took part in a support group for specialists working with children. Communication with professionals gives a chance to look at the situation from different angles and broadens outlook. We recommend the group to those who directly deal with children, teenagers, families, conduct training sessions, or are involved in the psychological and pedagogical process. Ms. Yulia Bogdanova, corporate social responsibility manager at KPMG, will be happy to answer your questions.

Trip to Pokrovsky Children's Home with Bumper Book Bus

On 4 February, we brought books gathered in November 2013 at a non-fiction book fair to a children's home located in Pokrov, the Vladimir region. Our friends from the Bumper, a children's book studio on wheels, presented new books to the younger generation in a fascinating manner. Now anyone can borrow the books from a local library.

PROFLAB has launched training

On 30 January, the PROFLAB project was launched. At its first session, participants learned about various types of charity while focusing on the current orphaned children programs, listened to the stories of veteran coaches that inspired many trainees to become coaches. All they need is to obtain necessary knowledge and skills at PROFLAB! Go ahead, friends!

Visit to Home of ROST

On 11 January, the boys and girls from the Home of ROST project received from our Foundation a mini-van for a whole adoptive family. Now, the children can attend circles and clubs, museums and theatres in town that can facilitate their adaptation to society. Also it was the opportunity to receive gifts and good wishes, have fun and enjoy meals together.

Trip to Cherntsy and Yuriev Polsky

On 9 and 10 January 2014 we made trips to convey our best wishes to two children's homes based in the town of Yuriev Polsky, the Vladimir Region, and the settlement of Cherntsy, the Ivanovo Region. The boys and girls received desired presents and gave us their charming smiles.

Christmas Tree at Cherntsk Boarding School

On 27 December, Cherntsk Boarding School fosterlings on their own arranged a New Year party. For their performances, the boys and girls were wearing costumes made by themselves. The celebration as well as the long-awaited presents we brought a few days before put the spectators in high spirits.

We also helped a little bit Santa Claus to deliver his Christmas presents! On the 2014 New Year's Eve, we presented, with best wishes, sets to warm mulled wine to our dear friends who were doing good deeds helping others in various ways during the year. We wish them happiness, well-being, and marvels in the New Year!

New Year Gifts to Psychoneurological Boarding School No. 16

On 24 December, our Foundation brought New Year gifts to Psychoneurological Boarding School No. 16. The boys and girls received the long-awaited MP3 players.
